Born of terre noire, “dark earth” sourced from the Paris Basin of the Seine River, each piece of Astier de Villatte is made by a single craftsperson from start to finish. Using 18th century techniques, each piece is transformed by a milky white glaze and finished with a stamp of the makers name accompanied by the brand logo featuring the iconic overlapping A and V. With only one instruction from the founders, “Make each product a beautiful objet d’art”, it’s the attention to detail and the Parisian flair infused in each design that makes each piece one of a kind.
