Made from lime plaster sourced from the Marrakech Plateau, this piece pays homage to the Moroccan tradition of tadelakt. In this centuries-old technique, olive soap is rubbed into the surface, rendering it water-resistant and richly tactile. "Tadelakt" means “to rub in,” a fitting metaphor for the intimacy of this material.
