About

Studio Dixon Rye

Bradley Odom and Peter Huesemann-Odom transform residential and commercial spaces nationwide with a shared ethos: a masterful balance of the raw and the refined. Leading a full-service interior design studio, they bring craftsmanship, quality, and timeless innovation to projects ranging from thoughtful renovations to ground-up construction.

As proprietors of Dixon Rye—named one of the Most Beautiful Home Stores in America by Architectural Digest—they have cultivated an elevated retail experience shaped by biannual sourcing trips to France, Italy, Africa, and beyond. Alongside their studio team, they create deeply personal, richly layered spaces that honor individuality and the enduring power of exceptional design. Their work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Veranda, and other leading publications.

Founder & Principal

Bradley

Rooted in his formative years in his grandfather’s upholstery shop in Mississippi, Bradley Odom developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship and the quiet discipline of making. His career began shaping the visual language of leading international apparel and home furnishing brands, where he refined his ability to create aspirational, lifestyle-driven environments. He later pursued formal study at the Savannah College of Art and Design, grounding his creative instincts in rigorous design education. In 2015, he launched Dixon Rye and Bradley Odom Interiors, establishing a distinct design voice that quickly gained national recognition.

Co-Founder & Chief Design Officer

Peter

Born and raised in Germany, Peter Huesemann-Odom built a career that bridges continents and disciplines. His early work in visual design took him across Europe, South America, and the United States, sharpening a global perspective on proportion, texture, and spatial narrative. He earned a Master of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Georgia State University’s Ernest G. Welch School of Art & Design, complementing two decades of professional practice. In joining Dixon Rye’s leadership, Peter brought architectural intuition, editorial clarity, and operational precision—expanding the firm’s creative and strategic reach.

Old Fourth Ward

“There’s an old-world glamour to Studio Dixon Rye’s interiors that comes from pairing rich materials like dark woods and dramatic marble with delicate decorative details. It’s not all so serious, though—you’ll find plenty of expressive sculptures, faunal prints, and even the odd disco ball too.”

Architectural Digest

“Aiming to bring youth and vigor to the somewhat serious abode, the couple looked no further than ‘Studio Dixon Rye’, a design firm whose work they felt could be as much at home in New York or Los Angeles as in Atlanta.”

Luxe Magazine

“A flock of soaring cranes encircles this Atlanta dining room, emphasizing the design team’s goal of creating entertainment-centered public spaces to contrast the more relaxing private rooms. Throughout, modern pieces with the texture and patina of antiques reflect the historic character of the estate.”
