This sculptural stool pairs a quietly architectural metal base with a generously proportioned upholstered seat, balancing strength and softness in equal measure. The base features elegantly curved, intersecting legs that create a refined X-form silhouette—grounded yet fluid—offering visual lightness while ensuring stability. Thoughtfully scaled and materially restrained, it reads as both functional seating and a composed design object, equally at home at the foot of a bed, beneath a console, or pulled up as an accent perch when needed.

Bench-made in North Carolina by a dedicated family-run upholstery workshop, the Somerset Ottoman is constructed with a kiln-dried hardwood frame for lasting strength. A traditional eight-way hand-tied spring system provides flexible support beneath a plush, hand-cut cushion. Each piece is upholstered to order, reflecting a tradition of American craftsmanship grounded in precision and care.

Wood finishes marked as Premium require additional hand-finishing steps and carry an added charge. This fee will be invoiced separately once your order is confirmed.

Most styles can also be ordered in COM (Customer’s Own Material). COM fabrics must be pre-approved. Once your order is placed, our team will confirm yardage requirements and coordinate approval with the manufacturer.

This style requires approximately 5 yards of COM or 21 square feet of COL. All COM and COL must be approved by the manufacturer prior to production.
