Compass is a supple, character-rich leather designed to bring an inviting, lived-in sophistication to any piece. Its surface has a gentle pull-up effect that gives the hide depth and movement, subtly lightening across raised or stretched areas to create natural highlights. Over time, the leather develops a warm patina, with soft scuffs and marks that can be easily rubbed out—adding to the authentic, storied appearance that only true aniline leather can achieve. The result is a material that feels both relaxed and refined, perfect for elevating seating with understated luxury.

Craftsmanship

Crafted from 100% aniline-dyed leather, Compass is produced to showcase the natural beauty of each individual hide. Because no heavy pigments or corrective finishes are used, the leather retains its organic markings, grain variations, and tonal shifts—ensuring that every cut is unique. The soft pull-up tannage introduces built-in color variation that responds to tension and movement, while the hide’s inherent ability to show (and easily release) scuffs gives it a dynamic, expressive surface. As with all genuine leathers, variations in color, texture, and dye lot are expected and celebrated as part of its artisanal character.
