Grade E | Nevada Mohair

Nevada Mohair is woven on specialty velvet looms using a high-grade mohair pile supported by a tightly constructed backing. The mohair fibers are carefully combed, aligned, and tufted to create a dense, resilient pile with a subtle natural sheen. Wool is typically blended into the ground weave to add body and stability, while a small percentage of performance fibers strengthens the construction for longevity. After weaving, the fabric is sheared and finished multiple times to achieve a uniform nap, controlled pile height, and a refined, velvety hand. The result is a durable, luxurious mohair that upholsters with exceptional smoothness and depth.
